The High Price of Vengeance When God Wants Revival
I ministered this message at my home church, The Sanctuary of Dublin, Wednesday, June 10, 2009. I believe this is a wake-up call for the Body of Christ, and I pray that God will speak to your heart as you listen.

I was only able to get though half the video. I tried several times but there was trouble with some kind of media system and it stopped. I had to go back to the beginning and half way through again it stopped. So I only heard a little of it.
Sometimes leaders get the idea that the church belongs to them, but the opposite
is true. Leaders belong to the church. We all belong to each other.
In all my years in the modern church, I have rarely known any man to be repentant. It almost seems that the power of the cross has no effect anymore, though there has been no loss in the power of the blood of Jesus.
Hasn't the gospel just about gone around the world? It seems that it has,
but hasn't it been as the character named Talkative in The Pilgrim's Progress?
The character of Talkative seems to have gone throughout all parts of the church, from bottom to top and from top to bottom.
Abner wasn't walking right and neither was the young man who pursued him. Abner
knew that David was anointed to be king
and that it was by God's doing, by his authority, yet he was serving another for his own interests, using another king (instead of joining David) to serve his own means of getting whatever he wanted in life. Maybe he was just a user of people.
Why the young warrior wanted to oppress
Abner I don't know. I suppose it wouldn't be right to kill him from behind. I don't know why he didn't run in front of him. I suppose it's in our old nature to harass and oppress if we
have the ability to do so.
It's a sad thing when brother fights against brother while the real enemy gains the victory over both.
Pride, self-promotion, treachery, jealousy, what else do we see in this story?
